Our board is full of amazing and friendly people. If you see us on campus, feel free to scream our name and say hi!
Did you know that AAA was originally founded as a social organization to give other Asian Americans a chance to identify with our cultural backgrounds and to better understand our own identity?
As the times change so does AAA. During this time, a need for AA advocacy and leadership was needed especially due to the expansion of a variety of cultural-specific organizations on campus. AAA shifted from a social organization to an umbrella one.
As AAA was changing, the board members of the time decided to restructure the incoming executive board for the next term, expanding the team to 15 positions from 5 members!
After hosting MAASU Spring Conference in 2010 and recently in 2014, AAA hopes to continue leadership development practices, advocacy, and have fun!
The Asian American Association or 'Triple A' was founded as an umbrella organization for all Asian affiliated student groups on campus and its purpose is to promote unity and cultural learning among different nationalities and races. AAA is open to all interested members and will not discriminate regardless of race, sex, creed, or religion. AAA is a student association run by the students, and for the students. AAA highly encourages active participation from all interested members.
The Asian American Association at the Ohio State University is a not-for-profit student organization that, since its inception in the early 1970's, has served as a foundation for community among Asian and Asian-American students. AAA strives to create a safe atmosphere in which Asian-American students can explore their identities within the unique heritage of Asian and American culture, as well as promote awareness of Asian-American issues and culture throughout the University and the Columbus community.
